Subrina Heyink is currently writing tiny Pleasures. tiny Pleasures is an online magazine edited by Ella Ray. I hope to use writing as a way to think about and irradiate the philosophical, historical, personal, political, and metaphysical through various contexts and references. tiny Pleasures hopes to provide something meaningful that might help us sustain the life that has chosen to live.

past work

Before tiny Pleasures, she worked as a wardrobe and bridal stylist from 2020 - 2026. While working as a wardrobe stylist, Heyink began writing “Are you wearing that?”, a Substack newsletter with topics varying from the psychological and cultural aspects of modern dress to the business of fashion and its role in a consumer driven economy. 

Before “Are you wearing that?” Subrina Heyink sold vintage preloved garments for everyday wear and bridal from 2017 - 2021 online. The shop was the destination for intelligently curated one-of-kind garments and pre-loved accessories. Through selling clothing, Heyink educated an audience on the importance of garment care, garment repair, and fit. Doing so inspired the writing for “Are you wearing that?”
